At First Baptist our desire is for all people, even the very youngest in our church family,
to experience Christ by being Rooted, Growing and Fruitful.
We value the experience of families worshipping together and the many benefits a child gains by being a welcomed, loved, and involved part of the church family.
Kids Rooted in Christ & His Word - Your child is welcome in our church service! Our Sunday morning worship
service is a time for the entire family to gather together to worship God.
We understand (and expect) that kids can sometimes be wiggly, silly, noisy or distracted. Please don’t worry if you or anyone with you makes a bit of a racket – we’re glad to have you with us!
Nursery service is available for newborn through age 2, but you are also welcome to keep your child with you in the service if you prefer.
The first three Sundays of each month there is Children’s Church for kids age 3 through kindergarten. They will be dismissed just before the sermon begins. The last Sunday of the month, when they stay for the entire service, there are coloring pages available in the back of the sanctuary.
Kids in first grade and up receive a Sermon Notebook that helps them begin to be more aware of what’s taking place and the message being preached. (There are some fun games and puzzles too!)
Kids Growing in Christ & His Body - Being a regular witness to the adults in their life walking with Christ has a major impact on a child’s spiritual growth, but age-appropriate instruction is also important. There are Sunday School classes for all ages, from infants through adults.
Your child’s safety is important to us! All of our Children’s Ministry workers have been background checked and received training as required by our Child Protection Policy. Please visit the kid's check-in counter to check your kids in for Sunday School or Children's Church.
Kids Fruitful in Christ and His Mission - We encourage kids to live out their faith in their everyday actions. We strive to include them in church services, ministries, events and activities.
Rather than simply being consumers attending a program, kids at First Baptist are an active, fruitful participant in the life of Christ’s church
